Description

Scarce 1903-O Fifty Cent, MS64

1903-O 50C MS64 PCGS. David Lawrence, in his Barber half dollar reference, writes of the 1903-O that: "Like most O-mints, scarcer than mintage (2.1 million pieces) indicates."Splotches of gray, cobalt-blue, lavender, and gold-tan toning rest over the highly lustrous surfaces of this near-Gem specimen. Sharp definition is apparent on the design elements, save for minor softness on some of the star centers and on the upper right shield corner. Population: 33 in 64, 11 finer (8/07).(Registry values: N2998)
