1904 Barber Half, MS66
Notable Condition Rarity
1904 50C MS66 NGC. A hint of blue at the rims surrounds
lustrous, champagne-gold toning across the obverse, while the
reverse is equally lustrous with a mere suggestion of golden hues.
The strike is sharp throughout both sides. Despite a production of
nearly 3 million pieces, this Philadelphia date is genuinely rare
in grades exceeding MS65. Just a single coin has been certified
finer than MS66 by both services combined. Census: 3 in 66, 0 finer
