Description

1905-O Half Dollar, MS66
Above-Average Eye Appeal

1905-O 50C MS66 PCGS. CAC. This low-mintage (just over a half-million pieces) New Orleans issue is among the more difficult O-mints in the Barber half dollar series at the Mint State level. David Lawrence (1991) states: "Rarely cones nice. Usually lackluster and poorly struck." This Premium Gem displays pleasing luster, and aside from softness on the eagle's neck feathers and the upper-right shield corner, is well defined. Orange-gold patina with bluish and lavender accents further enhances the coin's eye appeal, as do the nicely preserved surfaces. The CAC label affirms the above-average eye appeal. Population: 4 in 66 (1 in 66+), 4 finer (9/13).(Registry values: N4719)
