Description

1906 Barber Half Dollar, MS66
The Sole Finest Example at NGC

1906 50C MS66 NGC. Dappled russet toning covers most of the obverse, while the reverse is largely brilliant with splashes of crimson patina. This Premium Gem is fully defined on the obverse stars, Liberty's hair curls, and the headband. The eagle's feathers, talons, and arrow fletchings are sharply struck as well. Only the date exhibits a hint of softness. Unimportant flecks occur over each side, but they do not affect the desirability of this Condition Census piece. This is the sole finest example at NGC (3/15).
