Description

1906 Half Dollar, MS66
Extremely Rare This Well-Preserved

1906 50C MS66 PCGS. Ex: Shireman. There are enough 1906 half dollars from a mintage of 2.6 million coins that survive through MS65 to appease most collectors, yet advanced specialists seeking the finest example possible will encounter extreme difficulty at this impressive grade level. PCGS and NGC count four and two MS66 submissions, respectively, plus two finer examples at PCGS, both in MS67 (12/15). Mottled golden-gray patina covers the centers, while rose and fiery-orange hues color the margins. Frosty luster shines from beneath the patina. Well-struck motifs and minimal abrasions round out the appeal.
Ex: Dr. Steven Duckor (1/25/2003).
