Description

1906-D Barber Half Dollar, MS66
None Finer at NGC

1906-D 50C MS66 NGC. In its first year of operation, the Denver Mint coined a substantial mintage of more than 4 million 1906 Barber half dollars. Despite the large production, examples in Premium Gem condition are rare today. This impressive specimen displays razor-sharp definition on the obverse, but a touch of softness is noted on the eagle's claw and arrows. The lustrous surfaces show a few hints of light gold toning. Census: 4 in 66, 0 finer (3/12).
