Description

1906-D Barber Half Dollar, MS66
Ideal Mintmarked Type Coin

1906-D 50C MS66 PCGS. Lemon-gold toning endows the borders, although the remainder of this lustrous high grade example is brilliant. The strike is bold save for the upper left edge of the right (facing) wing. Despite a plentiful mintage, the first-year Denver Mint half becomes rare at the MS66 level. Population: 8 in 66 (1 in 66+), 1 finer (4/14).
Ex: Dallas Signature (Heritage, 11/2006), lot 867.
From The Brian Loncar Collection, Part II.(Registry values: N4719)
