Description
Sharply Struck 1906-O Fifty Cent, MS64
1906-O 50C MS64 PCGS. The 1906-O tends to come poorly struck (David Lawrence, The Complete Guide to Barber Halves). The present near-Gem is a pleasant exception, as none of the design elements reveal hints of weakness. Light gray-tan patina, somewhat thicker on the reverse, adorns highly lustrous surfaces. A few inoffensive handling marks define the grade. Population: 23 in 64, 12 finer (8/08). (Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24MW, PCGS# 6506, Greysheet# 6607)
Weight: 12.50 grams
