Description
Flashy 1906-S Barber Half, MS 65 PCGS
1906-S 50C MS 65 PCGS. While not particularly rare in lower grades, the 1906-S appears to have seen extensive enough circulation to preclude to survival of a large number of Gem quality examples. Both the talons and tail feathers are exceptionally well struck for a branch mint issue, and the eagle's shoulder plumage is only slightly less well defined. The surfaces exhibit swirling cartwheel frost and a decided golden-gray cast.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24MX, PCGS# 6507, Greysheet# 6608)
