Description
Fully Brilliant 1908-D Half, MS66
1908-D 50C MS66 PCGS. CAC. More than 200 1908-D Barber halves are PCGS certified in Mint State grades, making it one of the most available issues, but only 10 Premium Gems have been certified, with just four finer Superb Gems. Dale Friend's Premium Gem is far finer than the Pryor coin, about equal to the Eliasberg and Norweb-Price coins, and only a little lower quality than the Hugon MS68 example. The Dale Friend coin is a delightful example with fully brilliant silver surfaces and a full quota of satiny mint luster. A couple tiny ticks on the cheek and neck are about the only marks on otherwise pristine surfaces. Population: 10 in 66, 4 finer (10/08).
