Interesting 1909-S Half Dollar, MS65
1909-S 50C MS65 NGC. Inverted S. The mintmark was obviously punched upside-down. An outstanding, brilliant, and highly lustrous Gem. The surfaces are remarkably pristine for the grade, and there are just a few light grazes on Liberty. Captivating satiny luster sparkles on both sides and accents the nearly fully struck details. This often overlooked issue is rare in Gem and extremely difficult to locate in grades finer. Census: 8 in 65, 5 finer (7/08).
