Description

Impressive 1910 Half Dollar, Gem Mint State

1910 50C MS65 PCGS. With just 418,000 pieces struck, the 1910 had a mintage that is significantly lower than most Barber halves, which typically had distributions well into the millions. In addition, the 1910 is seldom seen in Gem and is virtually impossible to locate any finer. The present example is untoned and sharply struck, save for the often-seen weakness on a few stars. Both sides show only minor marks, and these barely affect the watery reflectivity of the semiprooflike fields. An attractive and conditionally scarce representative. Population: 21 in 65, 4 finer (8/08).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24NB, PCGS# 6519, Greysheet# 6571)
