Description

Elusive 1910 Half Dollar, MS66

1910 50C MS66 PCGS. When discussions turn to the Philadelphia Mint Barber half dollars, collectors immediately think of the three keys, 1913, 1914, and 1915. But the 1910 rightfully deserves to keep company with the other three dates, especially in Gem or finer grades. Only 418,000 of these coins were struck, and few were saved by contemporary collectors.
This Premium Gem from the Dale Friend Collection is fully lustrous with brilliant silver surfaces and sharp design feature. Both sides have minimal surfaces marks that are hardly worth mentioning. The strike is bold with excellent design details, including strong details on the most intricate design elements. Population: 4 in 66, 0 finer (10/08).
Ex: Heritage (6/2005), lot 6378.
