Description

1910-S Barber Half Dollar, MS66
Few Certified Finer

1910-S 50C MS66 PCGS. The Barber half series is eminently collectible for most enthusiasts, but challenging in surprising ways. There are no great rarities, but there are many stubbornly scarce issues at different grade levels. In some ways, an XF set is equally elusive as a Gem or finer collection (excluding price considerations). Those who attempt a Gem set will meet a worthy challenge in the 1910-S. Few Gems exist for the growing number of collectors. This example is lustrous and attractive, with orange-gold toning at the margins and light-gold, frosty centers. Sharply struck. Population: 16 in 66 (2 in 66+), 4 finer (3/15).(Registry values: N4719)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24NC, PCGS# 6520, Greysheet# 6617)

Weight: 12.50 grams

Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
