Premium Gem 1911-S Half Dollar
The Pryor-Duckor Specimen
1911-S 50C MS66 PCGS. CAC. Pale yellow-gold toning graces
this satiny and unmarked Premium Gem. The strike is decidedly above
average, since only the base of the fletchings exhibits any
softness. The 1911-S is scarce in Mint State, as expected from its
mintage of 1.272 million pieces. Population: 6 in 66, 1 finer
(3/11).Ex: Numismatic Enterprises, 2/1966; James Bennett Pryor Collection (Bowers and Merena, 1/1996), lot 316; Dr. Steven L. Duckor Collection (Heritage, 5/2007), lot 858, which realized $5,750.(Registry values: N4719)
