Description
Brilliant and Bold 1912-S Half, MS66
Tied for Finest PCGS Certified
1912-S 50C MS66 PCGS. CAC. Here is another entry in the
lineup of conditionally rare Barber half dollars that are easy to
locate in circulated grades, and only moderately scarce in lower
Mint State grades through MS64. However, Gem examples are difficult
to locate, and Premium Gems like Dale Friend's coin are true
rarities. A brilliant silver Premium Gem, this piece exhibits
traces of subtle champagne toning over satiny surfaces. Minor
blemishes on the cheek and chin are probably all that have kept
this from a Superb Gem MS67 rating. It is sharply defined on both
sides. Population: 7 in 66, 0 finer (10/08).Ex: U.S. Coins, Inc.
