Description
Impressive Gem 1914-S Barber Half Dollar
1914-S 50C MS65 PCGS. This is a lovely piece that has smooth, virtually unblemished surfaces (just a few tiny marks are seen on Liberty's face). The striking details are impressively sharp on each side and the bright, satiny mint luster is unabated and effulgent. A slight degree of mottled lilac and russet patina enhances the peripheral regions. Despite a considerably higher mintage, the 1914-S is scarcer than the 1913-S in Gem condition. Population: 12 in 65, 4 finer (3/07).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24NP, PCGS# 6531, Greysheet# 6624)
Weight: 12.50 grams
Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
