Description

1914-S Barber Half, MS66
Tied for Finest Certified

1914-S 50C MS66 PCGS. Although overshadowed by the low-mintage Philadelphia issue of the year, the 1914-S Barber half is rare in its own right when found in the glittering Premium Gem condition of this lustrous, reflective coin. Destined for the finest half dollar or Registry Set collection, this example displays amazing luster from its virtually untoned, stunning silver surfaces. The slightest amount of almond-gold accents the fully struck motifs, but for all purposes this coin is brilliant silver-white and pristine. A single tiny field mark near star 9 will pedigree this coin, and a small mark on the eagle's tail are the only mentionable abrasions of any kind. Population: 8 in 66, 0 finer (3/14).(Registry values: N4719)
