The Finest Certified 1915-D Half, MS67 NGC
1915-D 50C MS67 NGC. Formerly sold as lot 7564 in our 2001 Central States Sale, where it was described as, "Always a popular issue because of its final year of issue status. The surfaces are intensely lustrous and glisten beneath multiple layerings of original gray and rose toning while much original brilliance can still be seen beneath the patina on the reverse. Essentially flawless and sharply struck throughout. This is the finest 1915-D half certified by either of the major services" (5/01).
