Description
Richly Toned High Grade 1892 Quarter
1892 25C MS66 PCGS. Type Two Reverse. Splendid golden-brown and navy-blue colors illuminate this lustrous and fully struck premium Gem. A lovingly preserved example that is worthy of the finest quality silver type set. A number of 1892 quarters were undoubtedly set aside as souvenirs, since it was the first new type struck within the lifetime of most contemporary collectors. Nonetheless, not many pieces combine the exquisite surfaces and vivacious toning that is present on the currently offered example. Population: 63 in 66, 14 finer (9/04).(#5601) (Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23XT, PCGS# 5601, GSID# 5388)
