1892 Barber Quarter, MS67
Strongly Struck Inaugural Type
1892 25C MS67 NGC. Type Two Reverse. Few issues in the
Barber quarter series are as popular for type purposes as the 1892,
struck to the extent of 8.2 million coins with a virtually
unparalleled survivorship in Gem condition and higher. This
fantastic Superb Gem quarter shows dusky gray patina over the
obverse with daubs of multicolor toning. Brilliant centers on the
reverse turn to wonderful rainbow shades around the edges.
Razor-sharp definition, especially on the talons, fletchings, and
the shield lines, is a further draw. Census: 24 in 67 (2 in 67+, 2
