Description

1892 Quarter, Toned MS67+
Elusive at This Level

1892 25C MS67+ PCGS. CAC. Type Two Reverse, the eagle's wing covering most of the E in UNITED. The 1892 was widely saved as the first-year-of-issue. That said, this date is available through Premium Gem, but higher-grade coins are elusive. A melange of sky-blue, orange-gold, and crimson patina cascades over the highly lustrous surfaces of this high-end Superb Gem. The design elements are sharply impressed, including the upper-right shield corner, the arrow feathers, and talons. Both sides are immaculately preserved. Population: 29 in 67 (2 in 67+), 3 finer (3/14).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23XT, PCGS# 5601, Greysheet# 5388)

Weight: 6.25 grams

Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
