Description
Richly Toned Near-Gem 1894-S Barber Quarter
1894-S 25C MS 64 NGC. Warm lavender-charcoal, olive, and cobalt-blue colors swirl together over both sides of this nearly impeccable specimen. There is modest brightness in the fields, but the finish is essentially frosty in texture. Not a single detail has been lost to striking incompleteness. Slightly more common than the 1894-O in circulated grades, the 1894-S is equally as elusive in Mint State. From the Glenn J. Church Collection.
