The Eliasberg Superb Gem Mint State 1895-O Quarter

1895-O 25C MS67 NGC. Ex: Eliasberg. A spectacular coin for the specialist who demands superb quality and stunning eye appeal. Toned with deep russet and electric-blue around the periphery while the centers remain bright silver-gray. Fully and completely struck by the dies, with no signs of weakness found, including the central star points, areas that are frequently flat on this issue. The excellent strike characteristics seen on this piece are noteworthy for this date and mint. As so rarely found today, the luster is undisturbed and comes alive when the coin is examined under a light. If you want eye appeal, then this coin has it in spades. As to rarity and quality here again this coin has them in abundance. NGC and PCGS have graded a combined 3 pieces this high, with a single coin seen higher by NGC.
