Choice 1895-S Quarter
Sharply Repunched Mintmark
1895-S 25C MS64 NGC. Lawrence-101. The mintmark is sharply
repunched to the northwest. Presently unlisted in
Cherrypickers', but undoubtedly should be included within
that useful reference. Intricately struck and lustrous with only a
hint of almond-gold toning. The reverse is immaculate and the
obverse displays just a few inconspicuous grazes. The NGC Census
for all 1895-S quarters is 18 in 64, 12 finer (11/11).(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23Y6, PCGS# 5612, Greysheet# 5420)
