Description

1896-O Quarter Dollar, MS65
Attractively Toned and Original

1896-O 25C MS65 PCGS. CAC. Each side of the 1896-O Barber quarter dollar is pristine and frosty, featuring warm autumn-gold interiors that transition to faint sky-blue and lilac borders. Curiously, the lower obverse border stars exhibit considerable strike weakness, in contrast to the sharp definition of the shield corner and talons of the reverse. The coin is free of distracting abrasions. This New Orleans issue is seldom encountered in such fine condition. Population: 9 in 65, 7 finer. CAC: 4 in 65, 3 finer (3/24).(Registry values: N4719)
