    1898-S Quarter, MS65
    Frosty and Delicately Toned

1898-S 25C MS65 PCGS. The 1898-S Barber quarter claims a nominal mintage of slightly more than 1 million pieces but few examples were saved by contemporary collectors. This delightful Gem displays sharply detailed design elements and vibrant mint luster under shades of lavender-gray and golden-brown toning. Population: 8 in 65 (1 in 65+), 2 finer (1/17).(Registry values: N4719)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23YF, PCGS# 5621)

    Weight: 6.25 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
