    Description

    1899-O Barber Quarter, Lustrous MS66

1899-O 25C MS66 PCGS. CAC. Barber quarter specialists who seek untoned, brilliant examples need look no further than this frost-white Premium Gem, since it is doubtful any other example of this New Orleans issue can match its intense mint luster and vibrant eye appeal. Comparable to the more highly regarded 1899-S in top-grade scarcity, the present coin shows an exceptional strike on the obverse for a New Orleans issue, and displays full feathers on the arrow fletchings on the reverse. Just a hint of blending at the shield junction prevents a full details designation. CAC endorsed, and rare so fine. Population: 7 in 66, 2 finer (9/15).(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 23YH, PCGS# 5623)

    Weight: 6.25 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
