1899-S Quarter, Toned MS67
Rare in This Lofty Grade
1899-S 25C MS67 PCGS. This is only the second individual
MS67 example of the 1899-S Barber quarter that we have ever
offered, with the other one bringing just shy of $10,000 in its
last appearance in June 2015. This piece is boldly struck and
displays frosty luster. Each side shows mottled lemon-gold, olive,
and lavender-gray toning. Rarely seen this fine and almost
uncollectible finer. Population: 4 in 67, 1 finer (2/17).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23YJ, PCGS# 5624, Greysheet# 5428)
