Well-Worn, But Still Popular Key Issue
1901-S 25C AG3 PCGS Secure. A key issue in the Barber
quarter series, the 1901-S is avidly collected, even in well-worn
condition. The rims and peripheral design elements are worn smooth
in many places on this AG3 example, but the date, mintmark, and
motto remain easily legible. Pleasing blue-steel patina in the
fields mixes with dove gray in other areas.(Registry values: N1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23YR, PCGS# 5630, GSID# 5432)
