Description
Attractive AG3 1901-S Quarter
1901-S 25C AG3 PCGS. Light gray surfaces darken slightly in the fields and recesses, thereby highlighting the central devices. Except for the wing tips, these are completely outlined, as are the date digits, obverse legend, reverse stars, mintmark, and wreath. Parts of Liberty's eye and ear are visible, as are a couple of letters of the reverse ribbon motto. The reverse rim is totally worn into the peripheral lettering while the obverse rim is about one-quarter complete. Both sides of this key-date specimen are remarkably clean for a coin having experienced heavy circulation, and as such will fit comfortably in a low- to mid-grade Barber quarter collection.(Registry values: N1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23YR, PCGS# 5630, GSID# 5432)
