Description

Collectible 1901-S Quarter, Fair 2

1901-S 25C Fair 2 NGC. Both sides of this key-date representative display pleasing silver-gray color that is just a touch deeper in the fields and recessed areas. All obverse peripheral elements save for a couple of stars are entirely free of the rim. The lower portion of Liberty's ear is clear, as is part of the eye. With the exception of the wing tips, the eagle is completely outlined, as is the mintmark. A couple of motto letters show on the ribbon, and the inner parts of most of the legend and denomination are visible. A few light circulation marks on each side are not detractive for the designated grade. All in all, a very collectible specimen for having seen heavy circulation.(Registry values: N1)
