Collectible 1901-S Barber Quarter
1901-S 25C Fair 2 NGC. The 1901-S quarter has an impressively low mintage of only 72,664 pieces. This issue was struck before collectors and the general public were aware that a mintage this low was worth setting aside. As a result, almost the entire mintage slipped into circulation and today the vast majority of survivors grade no better than VG. This piece is heavily worn, as one would expect from the grade, but the surfaces are uncleaned and original. Most of each side displays hints of rose coloration with charcoal-gray surrounding the devices.(Registry values: N1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23YR, PCGS# 5630, GSID# 5432)
