Description
Original 1901-S Quarter, Good 6
1901-S 25C Good 6 PCGS. A nice original example of this key-date. Light grayish-blue patination resides in the fields, somewhat more so on the reverse, leaving the devices lighter silver-gray. The Y in LIBERTY shows, as do portions of the ear and eye, and the rim is virtually fully outlined. The reverse rim is weaker, but does not merge with any letters of the legend. The shield-wing borders show clearly, and three or four letters are visible in the motto. Both sides are remarkably clean for a piece that has seen heavy circulation.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23YR, PCGS# 5630, GSID# 5432)
