    Description

Ex: Eliasberg 1902-O Barber Quarter, MS66 PCGS

1902-O 25C MS66 PCGS. Ex: Eliasberg. One of the most attractive '02-O quarters that we have ever handled, this original Gem is only surpassed in technical quality by the NGC MS 67 example that we offered as lot 7291 in our June 2000 Long Beach Sale. The silver-gray surfaces do not show a hint of color and are essentially mark-free with razor sharp striking detail. NGC and PCGS combined report only five coins in MS 66 and one finer (8/03).
Ex: Purchased by J. M. Clapp directly from the New Orleans Mint (October, 1902); John H. Clapp; Clapp estate; Louis E. Eliasberg, Sr. (1942); Louis E. Eliasberg, Sr. Collection (Bowers & Merena, 4/97), lot 1577, where it realized $5,940. (NGC ID# 23YT, PCGS# 5632)

    Weight: 6.25 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper

Thanks to Heritage I realized a handsome profit for my coin submissions and intend to send most of the remainder of my collection to Heritage Auction Galleries for future auctions.
