    Description

    1902-O Barber Quarter, MS66
One of the Seven Finest at PCGS

1902-O 25C MS66 PCGS. The high mintage, approaching 5 million coins, did little to provide a supply of high- grade pieces for present-day collectors. PCGS has certified 182 submissions of this date with an average grade of just XF49.4. Moreover, of the 63 Mint State examples seen by PCGS only 20 are Gem or finer. This MS66 displays medium-intensity toning clinging to the obverse margin. This color palette is more extensive and slightly deeper on the reverse. The strike is above-average, save for the usual softness in the eagle's claws. Population: 7 in 66, 0 finer (8/13).(Registry values: N4719)
