    Description

    Gem Uncirculated 1903-O Quarter

1903-O 25C MS65 PCGS. The '03-O is not one of the more carefully preserved dates in the Barber Quarter series, and survivors are rare in the finer Mint State grades. This richly frosted Gem is overlaid in mottled crimson-russet obverse toning with more even, olive-gold patination on the reverse. With the exception of the eagle's right (facing) claw and stars 3, 8, and 11 on the obverse, every device is sharply detailed--a noteworthy feature for a Barber coin from this branch mint. An attractive example that should have no problem becoming a highlight in an advanced collection. Population: 9 in 65, just two are finer (8/03). (NGC ID# 23YW, PCGS# 5635)

    Weight: 6.25 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
