Description

Well Struck 1903-O Gem Quarter

1903-O 25C MS65 PCGS. The 1903-O comes fairly nice for a New Orleans Mint representative, as evidenced by the crisp definition in Liberty's hair, the eagle's plumage, and even the upper right corner of the shield; some minor softness is noted in the arrow feathers and the adjacent claw. Splotches of olive-green, grayish-blue, and mauve adhere to highly lustrous surfaces. Some minor handling marks concealed within the toning of Liberty's cheek and neck likely preclude an even higher grade assignment. Population: 11 in 65, 5 finer (3/09).(Registry values: N4719)
