    Appealing Gem 1904-O Barber Quarter

1904-O 25C MS65 PCGS. This is an issue that has always appealed to collectors, since problem-free specimens are at a premium. Golden-gray highlights predominate on both sides of this example, with a small patch of russet toning appearing on the eagle's right (facing) wing. Interestingly, although the strike is nearly full on the usually weak spots--the hair above the forehead, the eagle's claw, the right shield corner--only star 11 on the obverse is mushy. A nice, attractive Gem.
