Description

1907-D Quarter, MS65
Second Production Year at Denver

1907-D 25C MS65 PCGS. Circulated and lower Mint State 1907-D quarters are readily available, but higher Uncirculated coins are more elusive. Just 17 Gems have been certified by PCGS and NGC combined, and a mere six coins are graded finer. This issue is often weakly struck, but the present MS65 example displays relatively good definition. Only a couple of the obverse star centers, and the eagle's left (right facing) claw and adjacent arrow feathers are weak. Occasional splashes of lavender, cobalt-blue, and golden-tan patina visit well preserved and radiantly lustrous surfaces. Population: 11 in 65, 3 finer (9/12).(Registry values: N2998)
