Nearly Unsurpassable 1907-S Barber Quarter
1907-S 25C MS 66 NGC. With only 1,360,000 pieces struck, this S-mint quarter is a prized commodity even in near-Mint condition. At the Gem grade level, however, the Barber quarter specialist can really exercise his/her patience while waiting for the right coin to become available. For those collectors who can relate to this, we direct your attention to this lustrous specimen. Dappled olive, orange, and lilac-gray iridescence dominates both sides, but blushes of near-brilliance are noted throughout. Mark-free, this is a no-questions Gem whose eye appeal would easily support a Superb Gem grade. Population: 4 in 66, 0 finer (9/99).From the Richard Doyle Collection.
