    Description

Lustrous and Originally Toned MS66 1909-D Quarter

1909-D 25C MS66 PCGS. The 1909-D is a curious issue in that more than 5 million pieces were produced, and yet it is a condition rarity. Only seven other pieces have been so graded by PCGS with one finer (1/03). The bright mint frost on this coin is covered with moss-green and rose colored toning. Well defined in the centers, the peripheral stars are a bit weakly defined. This is an exciting and totally original type coin. (NGC ID# 43NY, PCGS# 5654)

    Weight: 6.25 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
