1909-D MS 66 NGC. A deeply toned and original Barber quarter that is sure to trip the trigger of some toning enthusiast. Both sides show an overlay of gray color with deeper red-golden hues at the margins, even a few dashes of blue upon close inspection. Well struck in general with surprisingly clean surfaces. Population: 4 in 66, only 1 finer (1/97).
