    Description

    1909-O Quarter, Slightly Toned MS62
Last Year of Production From New Orleans

1909-O 25C MS62 NGC. The 1909-O is notable as the last of its kind, the final year of production in the New Orleans mint. As with most O-mint coinage produced, local needs in the channels of commerce meant almost all of the mintage was circulated, and very few were set aside as mementos. This is a satiny example, as usually seen, that is better struck on the reverse than the obverse. Almost brilliant, there is a slight accent of golden color around the margins on each side. Census: 5 in 62, 34 finer (8/13).(Registry values: N1793) (NGC ID# 23ZJ, PCGS# 5655)

    Weight: 6.25 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
