Description

1909-O Quarter, Rare MS65
Bright, Satiny Surfaces

1909-O 25C MS65 NGC. The 1909-O quarter is an elusive issue in better Uncirculated grades that takes on added importance as the final year of New Orleans Mint production. Of the 712,000 pieces struck, most are lost to attrition or survive only in circulated states. This bright, satiny Gem shows tinges of golden color at the borders. A few minor abrasions on the portrait are offset by exceptionally smooth fields. Census: 4 in 65, 2 finer (11/24).
