    Description

Underrated 1910-D Barber Quarter, A Condition Census Example

1910-D 25C MS 67 PCGS. Ex: Eliasberg. One of only 1.5 million pieces produced, this coin is a superlative representative of a D-mint issue that numismatic scholars consider to be underrated even in problem-free XF condition. Lavender-gray iridescence dominates the outward appearance of both sides, but orange, gold, and powder-blue shades are also evident. There is not a single distraction hiding beneath the toning and the lustrous surfaces accent the uncommonly bold striking detail. Both major grading services report a mere two examples at the present level with none finer (5/00).
    Ex: Louis E. Eliasberg, Sr. Collection (Bowers & Merena, 4/97), lot 1603, where it realized $4,400. (NGC ID# 23ZM, PCGS# 5658)

    Weight: 6.25 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
