1913-S Quarter, AU Details
1913-S 25C -- Repaired -- PCGS Genuine. AU Details. Among
the "Big 3" Barber quarter issues, the 1913-S has a lower mintage
(by far) than either the 1896-S or the 1901-S. It is not the rarest
of the three, yet the 1913-S is equally in demand in all grades.
This example shows several areas of repair and tooling on and near
the portrait. The central obverse motifs are overly glossy from
polishing, and the reverse shows evidence of high point polish as
well. Some pale-gold and gray toning remains in the fields, and
About Uncirculated sharpness survives.
