to Barber Quarters (second edition), David Lawrence noted that
the 1913-S is "Rare above Fine" and "almost never" available in "EF
and AU." Not only does this attractive mid-grade example feature
pleasing stone-gray surfaces, it is endorsed by CAC for quality
within the grade. LIBERTY is fully readable. Both sides are smooth
without distracting imperfections. Worth a premium bid. CAC: 5 in
