Superb Gem 1914-D Quarter
Multicolor Border Toning
1914-D 25C MS67 NGC. CAC. Lemon-gold, rose-red, and
apple-green shades invigorate the peripheries of this coruscating
and well preserved Superb Gem. The strike is intricate except on
the eagle's right (facing) claw. The shield corners show strong
definition. Encapsulated in a former generation holder. Census by
both services combined: 3 in MS67, none are finer (11/12).Ex: Ft. Lauderdale FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2005), lot 4167, which realized $4,600.(Registry values: N4719)
