Description

1908-S Barber Quarter
Gem Uncirculated Example, CAC Endorsed

1908-S 25C MS65 PCGS. CAC. Flashy mint luster illuminates the unmarked, well-produced surfaces of this collector-favorite San Francisco issue. Although it is seldom available in Gem or finer conditions, the 1908-S is known for outstanding eye appeal and a sharp strike. This example certainly fills the bill, with attractive copper-gold toning and dazzling, frosty surfaces. Slight blending at the right shield corner and at the right (facing) talon is minor, as the coin is exceedingly bold in all other areas. A slight mint-made flaw above the 1 in the date at the bust edge is visible with a glass but of no consequence. Population: 14 in 65 (1 in 65+), 11 finer. CAC: 7 in 65, 8 finer (4/19).(Registry values: N2998)
